Young Cleric

This artwork was for a paper mini, which is why there's not much perspective.

Like many long-time fans, my first introduction to D&D was through the now-classic Red Box, and within the pages of its manual was story of a young cleric told through illustrations by one of my favourite artists, Larry Elmore. Though the story was quite sad, and it has always stuck with me and I did quite like the character, and I was inspired by her to design this figure, though the actual design draws mostly from the Knights Templar’s uniform.

To highlight the fact that she’s a cleric, I armed her with a mace and posed her with her holy symbol thrust forward as if she’s casting a divine incantation or turning undead.
